Greenguard Certified Products

In the furniture world, a Greenguard Certification is a simple name for a complex, prestigious, and coveted award that assures buyers a product was safely and environmentally produced. To achieve a Greenguard Certification for furniture, items must meet some of the world's most rigorous standards for sustainable manufacture, including ones for low emissions of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into the air. Because of this commitment to VOCs, a Greenguard Certification not only proves to buyers that products are sustainably produced, but it also lets them know a products is healthy for them, especially since bad Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) can have serious health concerns. Greenguard has two types of certification, regular and "Gold." More than 400 green building codes, policies, ratings, and guidelines are needed for certification, so customers know they are getting only the best for their money.

Holiday Blog: Colorful Office Chairs for St. Patrick's Day

St. Patty's Day is here, and everyone's breakin' out the green to celebrate! Whether you wear it in your hair, on your shirt, on your jeans, or on your shoes, green, white, and orange are definitely the staple colors of this fun holiday. What better way to celebrate than by showcasing some wonderfully colorful office chairs to reflect the St. Patrick's Day spirit? We hope you enjoy these great office chairs, and have a safe and happy holiday!

First on our list is a chair that's a study in green! When you have a chair that's as fun to look at as the Eurotech Seating CHAKRA-GREEN-WHITE Chakra Chair, it's hard to pass up. But this chair isn't just all look and no comfort. In fact, the Chakra chair relies on a unique zoomorphic design. It features seven independently moving cushion pads to support the body's energy centers, called chakras. It's light, airy support system has made this chair a favorite of yoga enthusiasts and exercise lovers. Although it's available in numerous other colors, including, white, black, gray, and even pink, we thought green was the best choice to honor St. Patty's day!

Like the Chakra by Eurotech, the RFM 8235 Carmel Ergonomic Chair is a very supportive seating solution. Instead of supporting the chakras, this chair brings comfort by retraining the body to use proper posture. The tapered back which narrows at the top helps to encourage a "shoulder's back" posture. With a thoracic ridge included, the two features combine to improve the body's overall posture by discouraging slouching, and helping the body into the position it is designed to sit in. In honor of the Irish flag, we decided to offer this chair in orange. However, being from RFM, the Carmel has loads of other color options for those that like to switch things up!

Going back to the green, we proudly present the brand that helps you save plenty of it. If you're searching for stylish green office chairs for sale, Flash Furniture is a brand that won't let you down. With great seating options like the Flash Furniture H-8369F-GN-GG Mesh Back Chair, users can save tons of money while still getting the benefits of an ergonomic contoured back, lumbar support, spring tilt, and other amazing features. Of course, being from Flash, this chair also comes in a variety of fun color options to spice up the workplace.

Next up, we give you the Boss B9401 White Leather Executive Chair for your office. For anyone that likes a modern look, the B9401 never disappoints. Not only does this chair feature sumptuous white Caressoft Plus leather for contemporary appeal, but it also two-paddle spring tilt mechanism with adjustable tilt tension control for maximum comfort. Also available in a mid back design that's ideal for both office and conference room use, the high back styling offers a five star look that perfectly compliments any home or executive office. The best part? They're both offered at an affordable price.

And finally, we leave you in the care of a brand that always offers the best of cutting edge ergonomic technology. Seen here in a stylish grass green, the R8 Rainier Managers Chair by RFM is actually available in a wide array of upholstery options, making it a favorite among colorful chairs for office use. Accommodating up to 300 lbs. the chair offers generous support in the form of a 1900 comfort molded tractor seat. A ratchet back, multifunctional control, thoracic lumbar support, and a seat slider all combine to offer great ergonomic benefits at an affordable price. In short, the Rainier is like a lucky green miracle, but we wouldn't expect anything less from RFM, or from St. Patty's day for that matter! Have a happy holiday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Choosing Green Office Furniture Can Be Cost Effective

Many people shopping for new office furniture today are commonly looking to go green. However, the inexperienced shopper often finds themselves believing that GREENGUARD Certified office furniture will cost them more out of pocket. This is incorrect in several ways.

In today's market GREENGUARD office furniture includes everything from conference desks to reception stations. Finding GREENGUARD Certified furniture can be quite simple if you know the manufacturers to look for. Sites like ours, OfficeAnything.com, offer a host of products from industry leading manufacturers, who pride themselves on paving the way for the green office products movement. Companies like new furniture by Mayline, Global Total Office, and Safco offer hundreds of quality Green office products. Furthermore, these items are just like any other, with one huge exception! They have passed GREENGUARD Certification tests to be considered environmentally friendly. Products such as these can and will improve your indoor air quality significantly.

Basically what I'm getting at is that there is literally no extra charge to have a piece of green office furniture. The manufacturer has taken the time to have the items certified, makes the necessary changes in the products production, and provides the certified item at no additional cost! That being said, there is really no reason not to go green wherever possible. Now, I'm not saying that there aren't companies out there up-charging for green products. However, most do not. Finding a quality dealer that provides furniture from the companies stated above will go a long way. It will save you money and help you, help everyone! Considering that we have proven green office furniture costs the same as non-green, why wouldn't you help reduce our environmental footprint, and improve our air at the same time. To me, it's a no-brainer.
